Mechanical QAR

Job Title

Mechanical QAR – Weld Inspection, Sunnyvale, CA.

• Plan and direct activities concerning the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
• Oversee subcontractor work performance to ensure compliance with defined quality specifications.
• Monitor and maintain project quality control objectives and report daily status.
• Support subcontractors on training issues.
• Source inspections for materials.
• Support clients RFI process.
• Make commendations on field issues.
• Provide daily project progress assessments.
• Develop and analyze statistical data.
• Establish quality and reliability expectations for finished products.
• Formulate and maintain quality control objectives.
• Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality (if applicable).

• Weld inspector per AWS B5.1, in accordance with BPVC Section IX.
• General knowledge of duct installations – torque values, spark tests, installation procedures.
• Inspect welds on PVDF, PP, PE, PVC, CPVC, SS Orbital.
• Inspect glue bonded joints on PVC and CPVC systems.
• Experience with inspection of high‑purity and ultra‑purity materials is highly desirable (stainless steel and plastics).
• Computer literate with Excel and Word; comfortable using customer portals to find specifications and drawings associated with the project.
• Liaise with customers and contractors and perform conference calls.

Ideal candidate will have 2+ years combined experience in one or more of the following cleanroom market sectors:
Semiconductor, Microelectronic, Biotech/Pharmaceutical. Candidates with less experience but within these industries and the required skill sets are encouraged to apply.

Hourly pay rate range: $40/HR to $48/HR, based on experience.
