We are currently seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support a highly advanced hardware manufacturing environment. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a quality professional to apply their expertise in supplier quality, electronics manufacturing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting suppliers in electro‑mechanical and electronics manufacturing environments, including printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), manufactured components, and complex hardware assemblies. This individual will be responsible for driving supplier quality improvements, supporting supplier qualification activities, and ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities- Lead supplier approval processes by assessing manufacturing and technology capabilities.
- Drive systematic improvements to supplier quality through trend analysis, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and supplier score carding.
- Implement and maintain ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards and systems.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance.
- Support incoming quality activities, including inspection, disposition, and release processes.
- Partner with suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective action efforts utilizing industry‑standard problem‑solving methodologies.
- Support supplier selection, qualification, and development activities.
- Drive Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), CAPA initiatives, and supplier performance improvement plans.
- Deliver technical and quality guidance to suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding quality standards and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2-8 years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience within an electro‑mechanical, electronics, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting suppliers within PCBAs, electronics manufacturing, server hardware, networking hardware, or electro‑mechanical assemblies.
- Experience conducting supplier audits, supplier development, and corrective action activities.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) certifications are a plus.
