Principal Systems Engineer

Location:

Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)

U.S. citizenship required. Secret-level security clearance, active and required on day one.

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain radar testbeds in a Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) facility, preparing procedures and test cases.
• Work with subject‑matter experts on radar operations and performance, serving as the focal point for electronic/software integration activities.
• Participate in integration and test planning/execution, including verification/validation events, performing analysis, and providing status updates.
• Confirm that test and evaluation processes follow established procedures, occasionally generating reports and presentations for internal or external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with program leads and stakeholders on test approaches, configuration control, and readiness reviews.
• Support program engineers and leads during testing schedules, providing reach‑back assistance and updates.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time to Huntsville, AL and Woburn, MA.

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux or Unix operating systems.
• Experience with Doors, systems integration, testing, and/or verification processes.
• Preferred: MATLAB, Linux OS, and shell scripting for analysis and integration; installation and configuration of electronic hardware; network configuration and basic networking principles (DDS, QoS).
• Experience creating plans, procedures, schedules, test scripts, and maintaining audit records for radar performance verification.
• Strong customer interaction skills and willingness to collaborate with site facility leads and remote stakeholders.
• CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications (preferred).

• Competitive base salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
