Job Summary
The Lead Server oversees daily restaurant operations while actively serving guests and participating in the tip pool. This role ensures smooth service and high standards in guest experience, food quality, and cleanliness while also leading and supporting the team. The Lead Server manages both front‑and‑back‑of‑house operations during shifts, holds staff accountable, resolves guest concerns, and ensures all policies and procedures are followed.
When the General Manager or Assistant Manager is absent, the Lead Server supervises the team and manages operations.
The wage ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 based on experience.

Role and ResponsibilitiesOpen the restaurant, ensuring all dining and service areas are correctly set up and ready for guests.
Actively serve guests while overseeing operations to maintain an efficient, high‑quality dining experience.
Close the restaurant, ensuring all areas are cleaned, stocked, and secured.
Hold staff accountable for job duties, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed.
Address and resolve staff and guest concerns, complaints, and operational issues promptly and professionally.
Supervise and manage the team and restaurant operations when the General Manager or Assistant Manager is absent.
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and labor laws.
Ensure all guests receive prompt, friendly, and courteous service.
Maintain food and beverage quality standards according to Keke’s Breakfast Cafe expectations.
Support team members by filling in as needed to maintain smooth operations.
Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance.
Lead by example, creating a positive, productive, and team‑oriented work environment.
QualificationsMust be at least 21 years old.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to direct and support a team.
Experience in a fast‑paced restaurant setting with knowledge of food service and kitchen procedures.
Basic math skills and ability to operate a POS system.
RequirementsMust have reliable transportation.
Must understand and be able to support each front‑of‑house position (server, host, etc.).
Must actively participate in the tip pool while fulfilling managerial responsibilities.
Able to comply with Keke’s Breakfast Cafe dress code standards.
Must be or become Serv Safe Manager Certified.
Prolonged standing and walking are routinely required. Routinely lifts and carries objects weighing up to 25–50 pounds. Routine physical demands include standing, walking, bending, carrying, crouching, grasping, holding, kneeling, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, squatting, stooping, stretching, turning, twisting, talking, listening, and communicating with others.
