Salary Range: 52.00 to 58.50 Hourly
Ever-Green Energy is looking for a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Technician to maintain, repair, calibrate, install, and troubleshoot all plant control/measurement equipment: (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and electromechanical) to ensure full and efficient operation of the plants. Performs the responsibilities as a Senior I&C position for the company, in accordance company standards.
OverviewThis role maintains, repairs, calibrates, installs, and troubleshoots plant control/measurement equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation. The position requires experience with BAS/BMS, PLC, HMI, and instrumentation and control systems, and may require occasional off-hour responses for plant emergencies.
Responsibilities- Software and Database Maintenance:
Daily alarm monitoring, backups of control logic, database files, and graphics; software patching; schedule and setpoint reviews. - Physical Controller Maintenance: hardware inspections, tightening connections, battery replacement, and cleaning.
- Field Device Maintenance:
Override verifications, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration and testing on all plant control/measurement equipment including wiring; repair and replace faulty equipment; perform preventative maintenance. - Identify root causes of malfunctions in plant operations and take corrective actions for electrical and instrumentation issues.
- Maintain a testing laboratory and test/repair plant control and measurement equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
- Ensure parts and consumables for plant control equipment are stocked and available.
- Perform major and minor installations of equipment.
- Respond to off-hour calls for plant emergencies.
- Lead or assist vendors in conducting predictive and preventive maintenance tests and diagnostics as directed.
- Review plant modifications and projects for compatibility with existing systems and standards.
- Plan and coordinate control/measurement installations with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Support plant operations, including operating the Thermal Plant, as assigned.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
- BAS/BMS, PLC, HMI and Instrumentation and Control formal training.
- 3-5 years of experience performing comparable duties in a similar industrial plant setting; strong in Instrumentation and Controls.
- Valid driver's license with a clear driving record.
