Hardware Development Engineer

Nokia of America Corporation, Hardware Development Engineer 2 (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA

Responsibilities:

• Test station automation and control software support (e.g. machine vision system, electrical/optical probe positioning and calibration).
• Software migration between platforms (LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB,
  
  C).
• Production test software support (test software build infrastructure, software version control).
• Production maintenance software tools (e.g. hardware/software debug tools).
• Firmware maintenance/upgrades for optoelectronic equipment.
• Test database software support (Oracle, SQL).

Must have a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Skills required:

• Programming in MATLAB, C, C++, Python, LabVIEW, or
• Object-oriented programming principles, data structures and common software design patterns.
• Software version control and multi-user developer environment (Git Hub or Perforce).
• Experience and knowledge of automation (motion, vision, and equipment control).
• Optical/electrical signal analysis and processing with data analysis tools (JMP or Excel).
