This role is located in Sunnyvale, CA with a schedule of 4 days on-site and 1 day remote. The Manager, Software Development will join the Platform team and lead a team that crafts and scales services connecting the Matterport Platform with Matterport’s internal systems, including integrations with ERP and CRM systems and other enterprise connections.
- Lead a team that delivers on multiple projects with other teams.
- Work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to drive and execute on product innovations required to maintain and accelerate leadership in the industry.
- Build products with a focus on scalability.
- Foster an inclusive team culture focusing on learning, best practices, and efficiency.
- Enable teams to be successful by removing obstacles and developing strategic relationships across the business.
- Help set direction and goals for the team in terms of project impact, product quality, and engineering efficiency.
- Understand and stay current on competitive landscape, market trends, and emerging technology.
- Understand how billing systems and ERPs work.
- Dive into coding and technical tasks as necessary, time permitting, alongside management responsibilities.
- Work with Product to organize and define requirements for the team.
- Run SDLC processes for the team.
- Hire, coach, and develop the team.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- A track record of commitment to prior employers.
- Experience leading multiple software engineering teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- 8+ years of experience developing cloud platforms at scale in languages such as Kotlin, Java, Go, or Python.
- Experience with Linux, MySQL or Postgre
SQL, and Git. - Exposure to non-relational data stores like Foundation
DB. - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across platform development.
- React.js experience.
- Billing system design and architecture experience.
- Full-stack developer experience.

Pay Transparency:
This position offers pay that ranges from $178, as a full-time employee based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
