Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineer Summer 2026 Intern. In this role, you will analyze requirements, write test scripts, and develop workflows. The successful candidate will have basic experience and/or knowledge of one or more of the following computer programming languages:
Python, C++, Java, and familiarity with Computer Science principles, Digital Electronics principles, and AI productivity tools.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in an engineering or a related field.

Basic proficiency in one or more of the following computer programming languages:
Python, C++, Java.

Familiarity with Computer Science principles.

Familiarity with Digital Electronics principles.

Familiarity with AI productivity tools.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to obtain security clearance.

Desired

Skills:

Familiarity with software and electronics testing principles.

Familiarity with product life cycle work flows.

Security Clearance Statement:

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $31,616 - $77,788. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
