About The Team

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative teams, ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software solutions using modern programming languages and AI/LLM integration. The position requires strong technical judgment, continuous improvement, and effective communication with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable solutions.

The engineer will also support Dev Ops practices, code quality, and mentoring efforts to drive innovation and operational excellence within Walmart’s technology environment.

• Design, build, and scale full-stack applications supporting digital advertising platforms.
• Develop and integrate backend services and APIs used across web and app experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver high-impact features.
• Apply best practices across CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and cloud-native development.
• Leverage AI-powered capabilities to enhance platform intelligence and efficiency.

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer building scalable applications.
• Full-stack development expertise.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python for Backend Development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript for Frontend Development.
• Experience with SQL and No
  
  SQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern Dev Ops practices.
• Experience or strong interest in AI/LLM-powered technologies, including agentic AI applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year’s experience.
