Senior Android Engineer

Join our Point of Sale team to build applications that define the user experience on Clover POS devices, and develop APIs that enhance our Android SDK.

• Develop native mobile applications for Android
• Engage with Product Managers and UX designers to define and refine requirements and UX design.
• Partner with QA to develop test plans for new features.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Fix bugs identified internally and via field support to harden existing applications.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to handle customer escalations.
• Develop tests and automation to advance product testing maturity.
• Work in an agile environment, participating in planning and Scrumban boards.
• Take ownership of complex features from concept to delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and guide them with best practices.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field.
• 7+ years of Android development experience in a professional capacity.
• Experience implementing Android software design patterns and application architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of database concepts and SQL.
• Strong communication skills.

• Server‑side development and building REST endpoints.
• Familiarity with Grafana and Data Dog.
• Prior experience in the Point of Sale domain.
