X is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars and is deploying Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. As a Software Engineer on the Starlink Growth team, you will design and build high-performance web applications that empower customers to manage their deployed assets across aviation, maritime, and enterprise environments.

• Design, develop, and continually improve software solutions to support Starlink customer success and business operations
• Develop well‑architected, responsive, and performant web applications
• Build highly reliable and available software systems for Starlink
• Design and implement fault‑tolerant networks that operate for long periods with minimal maintenance at scale
• Create aesthetically and functionally flawless user experiences
• Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews
• Deep dive into user problems to discover and create efficient solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM discipline; or 5+ years of professional experience building full‑stack software in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering

• Experience with object‑oriented programming languages
• Experience with relational databases
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of HTTP requests, REST APIs, and HTTP authentication techniques
• Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts
• Professional experience in analytics, data science, or machine learning
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with UNIX‑like operating systems and CI/CD tools

• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Must be able to travel to other Space

Pay range:
Software Engineer, Starlink Growth/Level I: $135,000 - $155,000 per year
Software Engineer, Starlink Growth/Level II: $155,000 - $185,000 per year
