Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in low level systems programming languages (e.g., C++ or
C). - 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large‑scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Proficiency in code and system health diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as your fast‑paced business grows and evolves.
You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
The Technical Infrastructure team builds the architecture that keeps Google’s services running. In this role, you will help maintain data centers, build new platforms, and ensure users have the best and fastest experience possible.
The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. We empower Google customers with breakthrough capabilities by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability, and velocity.
In this full‑time position the US base salary range is $147,000‑$211,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation details reflect base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Responsibilities- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices such as style guidelines, code quality checks, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt it based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Write product or system development code.
