Google's software engineers develop the next‑generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. In this role, you will build the scalable and reliable infrastructure for Gemini Live API, enabling groundbreaking applications and driving innovation across industries. You will collaborate closely with research teams and customers to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Partner with research teams and Google Deep Mind to productize models and technology on the Vertex AI platform, bridging the gap between research and real‑world applications.
• Design and implement cloud APIs and services for model deployment and management, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
• Build infrastructure and services that enable model quality and evaluation processes, ensuring models meet the highest standards of accuracy.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience developing large‑scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• Experience building and architecting production‑quality Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure.
• Experience in AI/ML related engineering, developing, deploying, managing, and maintaining Machine Learning infrastructure.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

US base salary range for this full‑time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
