Apple’s Cellular Software team seeks talented, highly motivated engineers to develop and optimize core cellular technologies that solve everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch, and other wireless product lines. The role involves working across layers including SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces to deliver reliable, high‑performance cellular systems and enhance user experience.

• Develop and optimize core cellular technologies for Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Watch, others)
• Work across multiple software layers including SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces
• Design and implement cellular protocol software solutions that enhance connectivity and user experience
• Identify, investigate, and solve complex cellular technology problems
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance cellular systems
  
  Contribute to innovation by challenging and evolving traditional cellular ecosystem models
• Ensure continuous connectivity and seamless user experiences across Apple’s wireless product lines

• Proven experience designing, executing and launching Dual‑SIM technology on phones
• Strong software engineering skills in design, programming (C, C++)
• Highly motivated and self‑directed
• Thrives in a collaborative environment and can communicate while driving multiple projects across many teams
• Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, seeking to solve everyday problems innovatively
• Laser‑focused on the smallest details meaningful to customers
• Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

• Experience with cellular protocol stacks: 2G, 3G, LTE, and 5G

Apple provides a comprehensive compensation package. Base pay for this role ranges from $147,400 to $272,100, based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to salary, Apple offers discretionary stock programs, employee stock purchase plans, and eligibility for discretionary bonuses or commissions. Relocation assistance may also be available.
