• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. Go and Angular Js are the preferred coding languages.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience working with Google Cloud platform / Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Experience working with EDA Tools and/or Chip Design experience.
• Experience interacting directly with end users / Product aptitude.

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Work closely with hardware engineers (the primary users of this system) and other engineering teams, design and implement a scalable and user-friendly platform to run EDA workloads.
• Evaluate various technologies and architectures to identify the optimal solution that delivers the scalability, performance, reliability and usability required to run EDA workloads.

The EDA Cloud team was established to provide tools and support for our rapidly expanding hardware engineering teams. We develop and manage unique software for deploying industry-standard EDA tools on Google Cloud. Our software engineers are focused on developing automation, including frontend clients and backend RPC services, for seamless tool deployment. Additionally, we’re developing cloud-based solutions to scale these workflows effectively, and generate unique insights for our users using advanced machine learning techniques.

This critical environment directly impacts hardware creation at Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
