About The Role
Senior Engineers are area owners who lead designs, raise engineering standards, and deliver measurable improvements to latency, throughput, and reliability across multiple services. You’ll partner with fleet, product, and hardware teams to evolve our GPU performance testing platform to ensure we deliver a reliable and performant experience to our customers.
What You'll Do- Design and implement solutions to problems of scale for testing and validation of Core Weave’s global infrastructure.
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs (gRPC/REST) in Go or Python to interact with Kubernetes and other infrastructure systems.
- Develop performance tests and automation workflows to expand hardware validation across the Core Weave fleet.
- Write and maintain Kubernetes custom controllers and operators to automate infrastructure testing.
- Adapt and extend open source tooling to enhance visibility into system metrics, performance, and health.
- Lead and collaborate on cross-team efforts related to infrastructure testing and provisioning.
- Mentor GPU performance team members.
- Shape and influence development and deployment policies for the GPU performance team.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation.
- ~5‑8 years experience
- Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python software development.
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes at production scale.
- Experience testing hardware at scale
- HPC Experience
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure and training / inference
The base salary range for this role is $182,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
