Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Xoriant Corporation, 1248 Reamwood Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 and various unanticipated locations in U.S.

Use Rally for Sprint task planning. Review test plans with the dev team and update the test plan based on comments. Review Automation test cases and update review comments. Prepare Test Plans, Execute Test Plans, Automate Testing Process for Software Development. Configuring different levels of RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks). Prepare dashboard with different defect metrics using the Jira tool to accommodate management with testing progress.

Write automation and unit tests in python language. Prepare and validate test beds for Cisco Hyper Flex clusters (FI and Edge environments). Prepare and validate containerized (Docker) test beds of Cisco Hyper Flex Software (Intersight) in Lab. Validate ESXi & HyperV hypervisors in lab post Hyper Flex cluster deployments. Prepare and Validate Cisco Disks firmwares (On Disks from different vendors) in Hyper Flex Cluster configuration in the test lab.

Ability to reproduce customer issues in a datacenter environment. Good understanding and experience in configuring and troubleshooting Fiber Channel and Fiber Channel over Ethernet environments. Configure different NAS setups (Cluster/non-Cluster). Perform ISCSI setup on Linux and Windows operating systems. Troubleshoot OS and driver issues. Perform configuration for testbeds on Cisco UCSM, Brocade and Nexus switches. Test Microsoft storage Space Direct based test cases.

Deploying Azure stack in On Promise Data Centre. Analyze Test Results to Ensure Existing Functionality and Recommend Corrective Action. Consult with Software Development Engineers to Resolve and Fix Software Defects. Provide Feedback in Preparation of Technical Appraisals of Programming Languages, Systems, And Computation Software. Assist in Resolving End Customer Issues and Help Restore Customer Faith in The Product. Develop and document sprint test plans in accordance with Agile methodology.

Write Automation test cases and unit tests. Maintain Documentation of Test Results to Assist in Debugging and Modifying Software Applications.

Require Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field. Require one year of experience in job offered, Test Engineer, QA Engineer, Software Consultant or related, using NAS, ISCSI, MySQL, REST APIs, SOAP UI, Wireshark . Require travel/relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
