Overview
Position:
Software Development Engineer II, Amazon Media Venture LLC, Sunnyvale, CA.
Multiple positions available. Work 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Salary range: $165,200–$223,600 per year.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, implement, test, and document embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
- Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that integrate with overall system architecture.
- Participate in the full end‑to‑end development cycle: design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
- Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
- Evaluate and make decisions about using new or existing software products and tools.
- Mentor junior development engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- One year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Object‑oriented design skills.
The pay range for this position in Sunnyvale, CA is $165,200–$223,600 per year. Base pay may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign‑on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the position offered.
