Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in Go programming language.
- 5 years of experience with network architecture.
- Experience with distributed computing, distributed processing, and systems infrastructure.
- Experience working with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) or Linux internals/kernel interfaces.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with operating systems.
- Experience working with Virtualization, Virtual Machines, Hypervisors (QEMU/KVM).
- Solid understanding of networking, network performance, and network configuration.
- Strong C programming and debugging skills.
- Develop virtual machines for Google Distributed Cloud (GDC), including air-gapped, connected, and software-only products, utilizing a background in distributed systems and machine virtualization technologies.
- Debug testing platform issues to run secure, stable, and demanding customer workloads.
- Build and debug a virtual machine (VM) cloud product leveraging Kubernetes, QEMU, Kube Virt, KVM, Go, C, Unix shell scripting, and Linux internals, with exposure to low-level networking, compute, storage, and GPUs.
US: $174,000 - $253,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
