Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in the technology industry, including 4 years of experience managing software developers, systems administrators, or systems architects.
- Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
- Experience programming in one of the following:
Java, C++, Python or
C.
- 14 years of experience in the technology industry, including 4 years of direct technical management experience of software developers and systems administrators or architects.
- Experience in Mathematics or operations research.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with database internals, database language theories, database design, SQL and database programming.
- Guide a full‑stack team through technical issues towards our mission of scalable and efficient machine and infrastructure planning for Google’s data centers.
- Work closely with the brilliant minds in the Operations Decision Support, Operations Research, and Discrete Algorithms teams.
- Help scale Google’s infrastructure by learning how Google manages the fleet with speed, agility, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with many infrastructure software and operational teams within Cloud and TI such as Colossus, GIG, ODS, Operations Research, and Optimal Fleet.
- Explore machine‑learning options to support fleet management, with a long‑term vision of an all‑knowing neural network.

As a manager, you set project goals, contribute to product strategy, and develop your team.

CompensationUS: $207,000 – $301,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
