Walmart’s Marketing Technology Engineering Team aims to build tools and technologies that will enable Marketers to send highly personalized marketing communication to our customers. As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions that align with business objectives. The team develops a scalable, multi‑tenant platform supporting Walmart U.S., International, Sam’s Club, and B2B operations. It creates autonomous AI‑driven content systems for marketing across multiple channels, ensuring enterprise‑grade governance and compliance. The group designs metadata‑first, event‑driven services for asset tracking and auditability, enabling seamless integration with internal and external solutions. Continuous feedback loops improve AI model quality and platform reliability.

Collaborating with product, design, legal, and business teams, the team delivers secure, extensible systems that enhance consistency, speed, and innovation across Walmart’s global marketing operations.

• Strong proficiency in object‑oriented programming and coding standards across multiple languages such as JavaScript and Python.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automation scripting, and telemetry implementation.
• Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and user stories.
• Skilled in debugging, defect management, and root‑cause analysis to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
