Software Engineer; Level 2

Description

Lockheed Martin Space will be hosting an invitation-only hiring event in early September in Sunnyvale, CA. This invitation aims to capture Level 2 through Level 5 Software Engineer candidates for open roles. Candidates who meet basic qualifications will be invited to interview for on-site positions at 100% time, covering Lockheed Martin Space and the NGI program.

• Experience with programming languages such as C or C++
• Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience
• Low‑level embedded software development experience, e.g., Board Support Packages, device drivers, bootloaders
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces, bus protocols, and analog/digital signaling
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical challenges
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, or related accredited program
• Clearance Required Prior to Start:
  Interim Secret

• Knowledge of Agile software development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with full software life cycle development including design, architecture, integration and test
• Experience working with multiple communication protocols
• Capability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Secret (or higher) clearance

This position requires a government security clearance; the candidate must be a U.S. citizen.

Annual base salary range: $93,200 – $164,450 (varies by state). This position is incentive‑plan eligible.
