Job Description
Lockheed Martin Space will be hosting an invitation-only hiring event in very early September in Sunnyvale, CA. This requisition is to capture Level 2 through Level 5 Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer candidates to invite to the hiring event. We will be reviewing all Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer applicant resumes, contacting those that meet all of the Basic Qualifications and Desired Skills and may be a fit for one of our open roles, and interviewing for the appropriate level roles.
If invited to the event, you will be provided with the details regarding date, time, and location of the invitation-only hiring event.
We will be interviewing candidates at Level 2 through Level 5 for roles on several different programs, including LM Space, the Next Generation Interceptor, Remote Sensing, and many other efforts where your expertise will be put to the test. The positions are on-site 100% of the time.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (or higher) STEM degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Broad technical skills such as rigid body dynamics, control theory, and/or computer programming.
Proven experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for simulation and analysis of feedback control systems, closed loop guidance, or navigation algorithms.
C/C++ programming experience
Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and/or coordinate transformation.
Ability to clearly document analysis results in presentation slides and engineering memos
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Candidates with more experience will be afforded the opportunity to interview for more senior roles at the event.
Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to ====.
Applicants must be able to obtain Final Secret clearance to be considered qualified.
Interim Secret clearance is required to prior to start.
Selected candidates will be required to maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program.
Desired skills
Experience with simulations and physics-based modeling
Experience with state estimation and navigation algorithms, including Extended Kalman Filters
Experience with kinematics using Euler Angles and Quaternions
Experience with autopilot design and linear stability analysis
Familiarity or experience with missile defense systems or fire control
Experience with C++ development and Gitlab
Experience with FORTRAN and 6
DOF simulations
Experience with model based software development using Simulink (auto-coding)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members.
Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
Familiarity with agile software development
Distributed/parallel processing
Possess a Secret clearance
