Firmware Engineer
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience with MCUs (preferably Nordic) and STM
32 microcontrollers. Proficiency in C/C++ programming. Experience with peripherals (USB, SPI, MIPI CSI/DSI, I2C, UART, GPIO). Proven track record in producing production-quality, fail-safe firmware for low-power real-time systems. Knowledge of ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4 architecture, boot mechanisms, and interrupt priorities. Skills in low-level debugging and driver development. Experience with consumer electronics. Familiarity with embedded systems development tools and environments. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) or Zephyr.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience with wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Zigbee). Understanding of hardware design and schematics.

The main function of a firmware software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work.
A typical firmware software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests embedded software working with other Firmware engineers as well as engineers from other disciplines.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain embedded systems and firmware. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications. Perform debugging, testing, and validation of embedded systems. Develop and maintain documentation for system designs and implementations.
Pay rate: $65-70/hr
