- Take machines apart, replace bad parts, reassemble, and adjust to manufacturer specs. Do basic part fabrication once trained.
- Help set up machines and work with production crews to keep downtime low.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain dust collection equipment, and report dust buildup or other fire risks.
- Handle building repairs: doors, windows, floors, fixtures, lighting, and basic plumbing.
- Follow the preventive maintenance schedule and keep records of repairs and inspections.
- Track parts and supplies, and report shortages.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 to 2 years of maintenance experience, or equal training and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Safe use of hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring tools.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance records.

- Work with conveyors, motors, or pneumatic systems.
- MiTek truss equipment experience.
- Knowledge of dust collection systems and wood dust hazards.
- Building maintenance, lighting, or basic plumbing experience.
- Truss plant with moving machinery, noise, wood dust, and indoor and outdoor work.
- Regular standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crawling.
- Some climbing and work at heights, once trained.
- Travel to other company facilities may be required.
- Associated Truss & Lumber is an equal opportunity employer. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
