Material Handler II – 1st Shift; Forklift Certified

Overview

Dal‑Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an intermediate-level Material Handler.

• Entry Rate: $20.78
• 3‑month progression increase: $21.90

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to the packing station or shipping area.

• Perform warehouse duties, such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy and completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays, moving, storing, and replenishing materials, and conducting daily cycle counts.
• Perform receiving duties, including receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Operate forklift equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and reporting all accidents and unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent; certified sit‑down forklift operator.
• At least one year of previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Minimum six months of experience operating stand‑up forklift, sit‑down forklift, and order picker equipment. No experience required for pallet jack.

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good record‑keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Basic English comprehension.
• Ability to work safely and conscientiously.
• Dal‑Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks required.
