MATERIAL HANDLER II - 2nd shift
Location: Sunnyvale, Texas, United States, 75182
We are seeking an intermediate-level Material Handler to join our team. The role involves stocking, checking, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials.
Pay Rate:
- Entry Rate: $20.78
- 3 months Progression Increase: $21.90
- Plus a shift differential of $0.50
Shift:
- Monday - Friday
- 4:30PM - 1:00AM
Primary Objective: Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to the packing station or the shipping area.
Major Function and Scope:
- Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays, moving, storing, and replenishing materials, and conducting daily cycle counts.
- Performs receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
- Maintains a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc.
- Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience;
Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator. - 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience.
- Must have a minimum of 6 months of previous stand-up forklift, sit down forklift and order picker equipment experience. No experience required for pallet jack.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
- Ability to work safely and conscientiously.
- Must be Dal‑Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
