MATERIAL HANDLER I 2nd Shift
Location: Sunnyvale, Texas, United States, 75182
Dal-Tile is currently seeking an eager and motivated entry-level material handler to join our team. The role requires experience with basic day-to-day warehouse functions and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Pay Rate: Entry Rate: $18.54; 3 Month Increase: $19.66
Shift: 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM
Primary Objectives:
- Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing station or shipping area.
Major Function and Scope:
- Perform a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts.
- Perform receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
- Operate forklift and order picker equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom, and general office maintenance.
- Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-year Sit-Down Forklift Operator experience required.
- 1-year previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
- Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

- Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May be required to sit, climb, or balance.
- May lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- The average number of picks per hour is 25, with an average weight between 40-70 lbs; heavier picks (50-70 lbs) are 65% of the shift, lighter items (20-40 lbs) is 35% of the shift.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Remotely exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
