As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control needs, assist guests and staff with professionalism, and deliver strong communication and customer service.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including storefronts, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter access points.

+ Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access to help deter theft, trespassing, and other security-related concerns within the location.

+ Assist with access control, crowd flow, and closing procedures while reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
