Job Role s And Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and control industrial electrical construction projects.
- Lead and supervise electrical crews, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Interpret diagrams, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Plan layouts and installation of electrical raceways, wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure concealed raceways are installed before completion of walls, ceilings, floors, and equipment pads.
- Install and oversee installation of switch gear, transformers, switches, bus duct systems, and electrical distribution equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and project specifications.
- Coordinate project activities with inspectors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Accompany inspectors during project reviews and inspections.
- Monitor workforce productivity, morale, and project performance.
- Advise management regarding equipment hazards and operational concerns.
- Manage project schedules, cost controls, and administrative documentation.
- Work flexible schedules including overtime, evenings, and weekends when required.
- Support medium-voltage and high-voltage terminations when applicable.
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory position.
- Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License required.
- OSHA 30 Certification required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Ability to understand project scopes and objectives.
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve project issues.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
- Proficiency with computers and construction technology tools.
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain professionalism.
- Experience with MV and HV terminations preferred.
