Basic Qualifications

• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++
• Experience or classroom knowledge with embedded software/hardware
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Aerospace Engineering or other related degree program from an accredited college/university

The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking experienced Software Engineers to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full‑time Software Engineer. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support for formal testing and delivery.

• Support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) including requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis & design, coding, unit testing, integration, and support for formal testing and delivery.

• Knowledge of Agile Software Development
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Previous experience designing to software requirements
• Experience with full software life cycle development including SW design, architecture and integration & testing

Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting. The position is located at a facility that requires special access. This role is full‑time onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
