Summerlin Hospital is a 496‑bed facility offering emergency services, a busy maternity department (average 450 deliveries/month), a Children’s Medical Center with NICU, pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER, advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health and oncology care. It is an accredited Chest Pain PCI facility, a Primary Stroke Center, and has earned multiple American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines awards.
Responsibilities- Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Apply Patient‑Centered Care concepts to all nursing activities.

- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school and completion of a specialty course (or equivalent) within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
- Experience: One year of acute‑care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
- License/Certification: Current RN license in Nevada; current BLS certification; current ACLS (adult), PALS (pediatric) or NRP (neonatal) certification as required by department; other certifications as may be required.
- Must successfully pass any required pre‑employment assessment(s).
- Note:
An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a nursing course of study and is eligible for the NCLEX. The RN graduate works directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee and requires an interim RN license from the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
