Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Geologist within our Superior or Longmont, CO offices. The Geologist will assist with managing environmental projects, conducting groundwater modeling, and overseeing field activities related to a variety of commercial clients and key client accounts.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of environmental consulting experience, including at least 2 years of groundwater modeling experience, and strong computational and computer skills. Proficiency with databases, preferably Microsoft Access, ArcGIS, and groundwater modeling tools, including finite-difference and/or finite-element modeling approaches, is preferred. Attention to detail, task and project management skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to quickly learn new technical skills are required.
This is a client-facing role, so strong communication skills, experience working directly with clients and regulatory agencies, and the ability, willingness, and aptitude to help support client account development and cross-sell a range of environmental services are required. The successful candidate should have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Essential Job Functions- Assisting with task and project management; preparing technical reports, work plans, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Obtaining bids from vendors and subcontractors.
- Providing project level financial tracking, status reporting, invoicing, and management of account receivable and purchase orders.
- Interface with clients, subcontractors, project groups, and internal technical resources.
- Working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, geologists, scientists, risk assessors, data managers, and other technical specialists.
- Developing and overseeing field sampling programs, health and safety plans, and field procedures.
- Supervising soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and other environmental investigations.
- Preparing and reviewing figures, conceptual site models, data visualizations, and technical design schematics for remediation and environmental investigation projects.
- Supporting groundwater monitoring, hydrogeologic evaluations, and groundwater modeling efforts.
- Evaluating site characterization data. Reviewing and evaluating environmental, hydrogeologic and geotechnical data.
- Performing statistical analyses and providing technically sound site recommendations.
- Assisting with water feasibility studies, remedial alternatives evaluations, remediation design, and implementation oversight; and supporting staff development in technical areas.

- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology required.
- Minimum 3 years of professional environmental consulting experience with a history of increasing responsibility.
- Previous field experience, including supervision of soil and groundwater investigations, sampling activities, and subcontractor oversight.
- Previous experience developing and calibrating groundwater models.
- Skilled technical writer.
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER Training required.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro or Auto CAD required.
- Familiarity with geochemistry and statistical evaluations of water chemistry and trend analysis required.
- Ability to travel and perform field work/oversight (up to approx. 20% travel).
- Pre‑employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Master of Science (MS) degree preferred.
Experience with both sedimentary and hard rock drilling and well installation desired.
MSHA training preferred.
Experience with SQL or Access database use desired.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing 25‑50 lbs in variable weather and terrain.
