The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant to join our growing emerging contaminants assessment and remediation practice. This role is ideal for an experienced environmental professional who is ready to take a leadership position supporting technically challenging projects, building trusted client relationships, and helping grow a dynamic practice focused on PFAS and other emerging contaminants. Based in our Superior, Colorado office with hybrid/remote flexibility, this position will provide technical support to a diverse range of clients on projects across the country.

In addition to delivering high-quality technical work, the successful candidate will play an important role in business development efforts by helping clients navigate complex environmental challenges and identifying opportunities to expand our services. Essential Job Functions
  • Provide technical leadership and project support for emerging contaminants on assessment and remediation projects nationwide.
  • Develop sound, innovative, and cost-effective technical approaches to address complex client challenges.
  • Independently manage and contribute to large, high-visibility projects.
  • Prepare and review work plans, proposals, technical memoranda, reports, and other deliverables.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support proposal development, capture planning, and business development activities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and help identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Assist clients in navigating regulatory and technical issues related to PFAS and other emerging contaminants.
  • Provide constructive peer review and technical mentorship to junior staff.
  • Stay current on evolving regulatory, technical, and market trends affecting the environmental industry.
  • Represent the firm through client engagement, industry events, presentations, and other professional activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting, geosciences, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in PFAS, emerging contaminants, site assessment, remediation, or related environmental services.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and technical trends affecting the environmental marketplace.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and technical reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, or opportunity pursuit.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop practical, results-oriented solutions.
  • Experience mentoring junior professionals and contributing to team development.
  • Professional credibility as a trusted technical advisor and problem solver.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional license in corresponding discipline is preferred (e.g., PE, PG, CHMM, etc.) or ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
Physical Requirements
  • Office work will include extended periods sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer and other office equipment.
Work Environment / Environmental Factors
  • Based out of our Superior, CO office with the potential of a hybrid work arrangement, but the candidate must reside within 30 miles of the local office. This arrangement is subject to review and may change at the company’s discretion.
