Tetra Tech is seeking an entry-level Geologist/Hydrogeologist for our Superior or Longmont, Colorado offices. The position is intended for candidates at the beginning of their professional geology/hydrogeology career, typically with zero to two years of directly relevant geoscience experience. Relevant experience should be primarily in geology, hydrogeology, environmental geoscience, or closely related groundwater-focused work. Primary work will involve groundwater investigations, hydrogeologic site characterization, drilling and monitoring-well programs, groundwater monitoring and sampling, hydrogeologic data interpretation, groundwater modeling, and related technical reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in geology and groundwater hydrogeology, an interest in developing a career in environmental hydrogeology, and strong computational and technical skills. Prior environmental consulting experience is preferred but is not required. Proficiency with databases, ArcGIS, and groundwater modeling tools, including finite-difference and/or finite-element modeling approaches, is preferred. Attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to quickly learn new technical skills are required.
The successful candidate should have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Job Functions:- Conduct and support soil, groundwater, soil‑vapor, and other environmental field investigations and sampling programs.
- Assist with development of sampling plans and health and safety plans and provide field investigation and subcontractor oversight.
- Support drilling, monitoring‑well installation and development, aquifer testing, groundwater sampling, and other hydrogeologic field activities.
- Log soil and rock encountered during drilling and interpret lithologic logs, drilling observations, and other subsurface geologic and hydrogeologic information.
- Evaluate environmental and hydrogeologic data and perform statistical and other technical analyses.
- Support groundwater monitoring, hydrogeologic evaluations, groundwater modeling, water‑supply feasibility studies, and site characterization.
- Support remedial alternatives evaluations, remediation design, and implementation oversight.
- Prepare technical reports, memoranda, figures, conceptual site models, data visualizations, and other technical deliverables.
- Assist with proposals, subcontractor bids, cost estimates, and project budgets.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, geologists, scientists, data managers, and other technical specialists.

- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology, Geological Sciences, Hydrogeology, or a closely related geoscience discipline with substantial geology coursework is required.
