Job SummaryAssist students with comprehension of class material and improving study skills in a one‑on‑one or group tutoring setting. Responsibilities include supporting students to become independent learners, helping them persist in college, and achieving their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and/or group tutoring to students across a broad range of courses based on personal area of expertise.
- Meet with students to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes, and help solve specific problems.
- Work with colleagues and the Coordinator to support professional development.
- Maintain flexibility to tailor tutoring sessions to each student’s needs.
- Completed the relevant course (or a higher level) with at least a “B.”
- Good academic standing with a prior semester GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Must have completed at least one year of college credits prior to starting (exceptions can be made).
- Available for a full‑day training on Tuesday, September 1st.
- Flexibility to work a minimum of four (4) hours per week and accommodate a variable schedule.
Students must be enrolled at least half‑time at UW‑Superior for the current semester.
Training & AvailabilityTraining on September 1st, 2026; thereafter flexible scheduling required.
