About the roleWe are looking for an Environmental Advisor to join the Resolution Copper Environmental Team and provide technical support across day‑to‑day environmental compliance and regulatory activities.
This role suits an environmental professional who values both technical rigor and practical application. As an Environmental Advisor at Resolution Copper, you will support day‑to‑day environmental compliance across a complex, highly regulated operation working closely with site leaders and specialists to meet regulatory obligations and build strong relationships.
You will balance competing priorities, from regulatory queries to incident investigations. You will gather facts, work alongside leaders, and ensure actions align with permits and requirements. Under pressure, you remain calm, methodical, and solutions‑focused supporting effective outcomes while maintaining trust.
Reporting to the Principal Advisor – Environment and working closely with environmental and operational leaders, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating environmental compliance activities within a highly regulated and complex operating environment
- Supporting compliance across air, waste, and water management areas
- Contributing to project‑level compliance activities, including inspections, reporting, data collection, and documentation (e.g. SPCC, RCRA, TRI, CAA, waste, and reclamation permitting)
- Building strong, effective relationships with operational teams to support understanding of compliance requirements and systems
- Collecting and managing data to support accurate technical and regulatory reporting
- Supporting schedules to help ensure permit and regulatory obligations are met
- Coordinating environmental projects and working with contractors
- Supporting the operation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS)
- Analysing and reporting environmental data to identify trends and support decision‑making
- Engaging with regulatory agencies, as required, in a professional and constructive manner
- Contributing to short-, medium-, and long‑term environmental planning activities
- Supporting investigations into environmental incidents and identifying improvement opportunities
- Exposure to GIS systems to support environmental data analysis and spatial reporting is advantageous
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in environmental compliance
- Practical experience with waste and air quality regulations
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
