Position Overview:
Cedar & Stone is seeking a full-time Finance Manager to operate within the day-to-day financial operations of the company while helping build scalable systems to support continued growth.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in manufacturing, construction, or the building products industry who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and operational partnership. The Finance Manager will work closely with leadership and Office Manager to improve financial processes, reporting, budgeting, inventory management, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations- Oversee monthly close processes
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger
- Coordinate annual audit and tax preparation activities
- Assist in developing annual budgets
- Produce monthly financial reports and dashboards
- Monitor departmental budgets and spending
- Track key financial and operational performance indicators
- Support forecasting and long-range financial planning
- Support forecasting and long-range financial planning
- Monitor inventory valuation and inventory controls
- Support purchasing and inventory management processes
- Analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, and production performance
- Improve cost accounting processes
- Assist with pricing, profitability, and margin analysis
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Assist with banking relationships
- Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and financial visibility
- Partner with operational leaders to improve reporting and decision-making
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience
- Manufacturing, construction, or building products industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost tracking
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online required
- Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
Compensation and benefits:
This role is an in-person full-time position, located in Superior, Wisconsin. Salary of $65,000 annually. Benefits for this role include 20 days of PTO, 401(k) with company contribution, health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents available after 90-day introductory period.
