Position Overview:

Cedar & Stone is seeking a full-time Finance Manager to operate within the day-to-day financial operations of the company while helping build scalable systems to support continued growth.

This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in manufacturing, construction, or the building products industry who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and operational partnership. The Finance Manager will work closely with leadership and Office Manager to improve financial processes, reporting, budgeting, inventory management, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly close processes
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger
• Coordinate annual audit and tax preparation activities

• Assist in developing annual budgets
• Produce monthly financial reports and dashboards
• Monitor departmental budgets and spending
• Track key financial and operational performance indicators
• Support forecasting and long-range financial planning
• Support forecasting and long-range financial planning

• Monitor inventory valuation and inventory controls
• Support purchasing and inventory management processes
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, and production performance
• Improve cost accounting processes
• Assist with pricing, profitability, and margin analysis

• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Assist with banking relationships

• Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and financial visibility
• Partner with operational leaders to improve reporting and decision-making

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience
• Manufacturing, construction, or building products industry experience preferred
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost tracking
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Quick Books Online required
• Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment

Compensation and benefits:

This role is an in-person full-time position, located in Superior, Wisconsin. Salary of $65,000 annually. Benefits for this role include 20 days of PTO, 401(k) with company contribution, health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents available after 90-day introductory period.
