HR Generalist / Talent Management, Recruiter / Talent Acquisition
Under general supervision of the Human Resources Director, serves as the assistant for the Human Resources function in the County. Provides administrative and clerical duties of a confidential nature dealing with all aspects of human resource issues in support of the Human Resource Director and County Administrator.
FLSA status:
Exempt, Full-time based on 40 hours per week. 2026 Salary grade: $26.05-$26.73

Administers recruitment, testing and selection process for filling vacant positions and temporary assignments. Oversees the job-posting program including the hiring of regular and civil service staff by determining job duties, appropriate pay within the County Board guidelines, recruitment sources, and testing requirements. Manages and processes the Worker's Compensation claims for the County.
Prepares various statistical, financial and narrative reports related to human resource issues for the County Administrator, Administration Committee and County Board as requested.
Participates in the interview process with the supervisor/manager. Schedules and coordinates interviews with appropriate personnel. Completes background reference checks, types job offers and regret letters. Schedules required pre-employment physicals and evaluations.
Maintains staffing records, job files and compiles staffing report for year-end analysis. Maintains various filing systems, which include benefit reports, personnel files, job files and other related filing systems kept by the department.
Coordinates the random drug testing policy, keeps accurate data and forms, schedules appointments for testing, communicates with department managers and employees to ensure confidentiality and compliance with the plan.
Assists employees, supervisors, and managers by answering questions regarding human resource policies and procedures,
Works with the Leave of Absence policy and FML policy ensuring that the forms and documentationare filled out accurately, received on a timely basis, and information is communicated to appropriate parties.
Performs administrative clerical duties; such as keyboarding, taking and transcribing meeting minutes, sending and posting meeting notices, preparing special documents, ensuring appropriate human resource forms are filled out accurately and on a timely basis. Develops flyers, organizational charts and other miscellaneous tasks, using a variety of computer software programs.
Sets up meetings, completes employment verifications, works on special county programs and projects related to human resources and administration.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
