Senior Forklift Sales Representative
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development
- Prospect and find new customers (warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, retail, cold storage, etc.).
- Proficient in product presentations and unit demos.
- Negotiate prices, tenders, and prepare proposals.
- Familiar with CRM, pipeline management, and target-driven processes.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the forklift and material handling sector.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers to increase repeat sales and referrals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential customers.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and equipment demonstrations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and operations managers.
- Act as the main point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Provide tailored solutions to meet customers' unique material handling requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of forklift types (electric, diesel, LPG), features, and applications.
- Work with technical teams to recommend suitable equipment configurations.
- Understand forklift products: electric forklifts, diesel forklifts, reach trucks, pallet movers, stackers.
- Understand technical specifications: capacity (tons), mast height, battery type (Li-ion/Lead Acid), gradeability, turning radius.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling is a plus.
- Read basic technical drawings and understand customer application requirements.
- Assist in training junior sales staff and internal teams on forklift specifications and use cases.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales contracts in line with company policies.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order processing and after-sales support.
- Track and report on sales activities using CRM systems.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer site visits as a company representative.
- Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in forklift, industrial equipment, or material handling industry.
- Strong technical understanding of forklift equipment and warehouse operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Willingness to work in the field plus some administrative work.
- Clear, persuasive, and professional communication skills.
- Target-oriented and problem-solving.
- Hardworking and persistent.
- Able to work with service teams and technicians.
- High integrity and a positive attitude.
