About the roleWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team in Surabaya, Jawa Timur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in driving business development and sales growth for PT Family Food Indonesia. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and overseeing the execution of sales strategies to achieve organisational objectives.
This role is essential to our expansion plans and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business trajectory.
- Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities and market segments aligned with company strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, training and support to drive performance and professional development
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business development initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive sales proposals, presentations and commercial agreements for prospective clients
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing and finance teams to ensure seamless delivery of sales initiatives
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities
- Manage sales pipeline and forecast revenue with accuracy and transparency
- Minimum 5 years' experience in sales management or business development roles within a commercial or industrial environment
- Proven track record of successfully achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of new business development principles, market analysis and sales strategy formulation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop and manage team members effectively
- Proficiency in sales tools, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field
- Fluency in Indonesian and English is essential
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required by the role

Experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors operating in the East Java region
