Seasonal Tax Reviewer

• Review prepared tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, or trusts for errors, discrepancies, documentation, and compliance
• Provide guidance to tax preparers and act as a technical resource for complex tax questions
• Interface with client personnel to review and apply accounting and tax principles
• Contact clients by phone or email to gather necessary information
• Review files for signatures, supporting documentation, and filing deadlines
• Obtain filing extensions when necessary
• Perform detailed tax return review, research, and compliance work
• Follow firm policies and procedures
• Maintain technical tax skills through on-the-job and internal training
• Assist clients with tax planning and business strategy
• Provide training and supervision to junior family members

• 7 years of relevant experience required
• Bachelor's degree required
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• CPA required (JD or Enrolled Agent acceptable in lieu)
• Knowledge of tax law compliance, accounting theory, calculations, and tax research
• Ability to review tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, or trusts
• Ability to conduct complex tax research and stay current with tax laws and regulations

Demonstrates expertise in tax return review, compliance, and tax law, with a strong ability to provide guidance and training to tax preparers. Proficient in conducting complex tax research and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations.
