Contract Special Education Teacher (ESS/SDC, K–2) – Surprise, AZ | 2026–2027 School Year
Make a meaningful impact early—this K–2 Special Day Class (SDC) opportunity in Surprise, AZ is ideal for a Special Education Teacher who thrives in a structured, supportive classroom and enjoys working with our youngest learners.
We’re partnering with a local district to place a contract Special Education Teacher for the full 2026–2027 school year.
Role Snapshot- Location: Surprise, AZ
- Contract: 2026–2027 school year
- Classroom: K–2 Special Day Class (SDC)
- Model: Self-contained setting supporting diverse learning needs
- Hourly (local): $48.00 – $51.75
- Travel assignments: Up to $2,251/week gross
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to IEP goals
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams
- Track progress and maintain compliant, accurate IEP documentation
- Support early learners in building academic and foundational skills
- Active Arizona Special Education Teaching Credential (required)
- Experience in SDC or self-contained classrooms preferred
- Strong working knowledge of IEPs and SPED compliance
- Ability to support a range of learning and behavioral needs
