Summary
Instructors are responsible for the planning, teaching, and execution of specialized instruction in a specific topic/skill to individuals participating in City of Surprise classes, programs, and sports camps.
Education and ExperienceOne year of experience in the topic area teaching, coaching, and/or making presentations; education cannot be substituted for experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
CertificationsCertifications related to a program area as required.
Selection ProcessApplicants whose education, training, and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview. Successful candidates will receive a post‑offer, pre‑employment background screening that includes:
- Criminal Background Screening
- Education & Experience Verification
- Drug Screen
- E‑Verify
- Fingerprinting
