Position Overview

The Community Education Site Coordinator will oversee the campus Community Education programs (Preschool, Legacy Kids Care (LKC), and Kindergarten Education Enrichment Program (KEEP)). Responsibilities include implementing policies, managing staff, supervising daily operations, ensuring safety and compliance, inventory ordering, staff evaluation, student discipline, duty scheduling, and parent relationships. The Coordinator acts as the lead administrator, evaluates teachers, verifies curriculum fidelity, and maintains state safety standards.

Functions
  • Oversees all aspects of Community Education (Preschool, KEEP, LKC, Clubs, Vendors).
  • Monitors enrollment for LKC, KEEP and Preschool.
  • Serves as campus lead for Community Education programs.
  • Communicates program updates to LKC & Preschool staff.
  • Communicates with parents regarding all aspects of the program.
  • Creates staff schedules maintaining a 30:1 child:staff ratio for LKC and a 13:1 or 15:1 ratio in Preschool.
  • Ensures all staff complete the Staff Member Approval form.
  • Provides on‑call support for before or after school LKC & Preschool sessions.
  • Orders snacks & lunches accurately to eliminate waste.
  • Conducts site validations to ensure program alignment with mission, vision, and licensing.
  • Monitors LKC activities to ensure staff follow the AM and PM schedule.
  • Inventories and orders materials, resources, and supplies for daily activities.
  • Ensures staff are trained on lockdown, fire and discipline policies.
  • Enforces health and safety procedures, including medication storage and weather‑related concerns.
  • Manages discipline and reports concerns to Assistant Principal, Preschool Program Coordinator, and Director of Community Education.
  • Manages enrollment paperwork to maintain required emergency contact, medication, allergy, or IEP information.
  • Trains Preschool staff on essential duties and licensing requirements.
  • Acts as direct supervisor for Preschool staff, including hiring, remediation, and dismissal.
  • Conducts annual reviews for direct reports.
  • Advises administration on student services, staff concerns, and program success factors.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • High School Diploma
  • Food Handler’s Card/Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Recent (within 1 year) Negative TB Test
Required Work Experience Or Related Experience
  • Minimum 2 years in a child care/preschool setting.
  • Minimum 2 years managerial/supervisory experience in childcare and/or preschool.
  • Preferred: 1 year as a Legacy Traditional School employee.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Positive interaction with students, parents, teachers and administrators.
  • Experience with child care/after school programs, parent involvement, and curriculum development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Excel, and related systems.
  • Independent problem solving and adaptability.
  • Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility with scheduling to meet job requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, diplomacy in interactions.
  • Relationship management with students, teachers, staff, and parents to build culture.
  • Open to feedback and continuous learning in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Managerial experience.
Background Checks
  • Required to pass a criminal history background check.
  • Must hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times.
