-STC to support a school district in Surprise, AZ.

SummaryWe are seeking a SPED Teacher (STC) to join our team at Platinum Therapy for a K–2 Special Teaching Classroom (STC). In this role, you will provide specialized academic and behavioral support to students with disabilities in a structured classroom setting. Your work will directly impact students and their families by helping create a supportive and effective learning environment that promotes student growth and success.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized and small‑group instruction based on student needs and IEP goals
- Implement accommodations and modifications to support student learning
- Develop, manage, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and service records
- Support students with behavioral, social, and academic needs in the classroom setting
- Collaborate with families, school staff, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings, case management, and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Ensure compliance with special education regulations and district guidelines
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Credential (or eligibility)
- Experience working with elementary‑aged students, preferably grades K–2
- Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and classroom accommodations
- Familiarity with SEIS or similar documentation systems preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Fully committed during scheduled working hours
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Accurate with documentation and service tracking
- Able to manage classroom responsibilities effectively and efficiently
- Supportive, collaborative, and student‑focused
- $29-54 per hour (based on experience and location)
