SPED Teacher; K-8 Resource Teacher

Special Education Teacher

Are you ready to help students within your community for the upcoming school year? We are looking for a dedicated Special Education K-8 Resource Teacher in Surprise, AZ with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for adolescents, communicating with other team members and maintaining accurate records.

Duties:

• Provide special education instruction and support to K-8 students.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Manage caseloads, track student progress, and maintain compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and support students in resource and inclusion settings.

Job Requirements:

• Arizona Special Education Certification (ADE)
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Valid Driver's License
• College Diploma or Transcripts
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education or equivalent
• Have or willing to obtain Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification

Preferred Experience:

• K-8 Special Education and/or Resource Teacher experience
• IEP development and case management
• School-based experience
• PHASE, STC, or STC2 classroom experience
