Credit and Collections Analyst AZ

Job Description

Builders First Source, America’s largest supplier of building materials, value-added components, and building services to the professional market, is looking for a Credit and Collections Analyst. The role is located on-site in Surprise, Arizona, and involves collaborating across multiple geographic areas to support the company’s credit and collection activities.

Key responsibilities include implementing company credit and collection policies; recommending and approving account adjustments; coordinating collection decisions with management and sales teams; managing delinquent receivables; negotiating customer payment plans; developing financial packages; monitoring credit activity and compliance with policies, lien laws, and sales tax laws; and working closely with Credit Management and field leadership to resolve difficult collection cases.

The ideal candidate will complete activities within the Credit and Collections department across assigned locations, ensuring effective handling of delinquent account collections and investigation of customer and supplier credit risks.

• Minimum education:
  
  High School or GED.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two (2) years of credit collections experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Manual dexterity.
• Knowledge of safety procedures while performing material handling tasks.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.

Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust. The job requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally, as well as climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling as needed.
