Credit and Collections Analyst

Job Overview

Builders First Source, America’s largest supplier of building materials, value‑added components and building services to the professional market, invites you to join our Credit and Collections department. You will work across assigned locations and implement company policies related to credit and collection activities. The role focuses on handling delinquent accounts, investigating credit risks, and ensuring compliance with lien and sales tax laws.

• Implement and adhere to company credit and collection policies across one or multiple geographic areas.
• Recommend or approve decisions regarding adjustments to customer accounts and refer overdue accounts for legal action.
• Coordinate area collection decisions with management teams and sales departments.
• Manage delinquent customer receivables, negotiate special payment plans, and participate in development of financial packages.
• Monitor credit activity, including monthly review of large accounts and ensure location compliance with credit policies, lien laws, and sales tax laws.
• Work closely with Credit Management and field leadership to resolve difficult collection cases.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred and at least two years of credit collections experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
