Job Title
Incumbents are non-sworn employees who perform non-emergency support services at the front desk of the lobby of the Police Department building and at the customer service/security desk in the lobby of the City Hall building.
Primary responsibilities and duties include responding to visitor inquiries, providing directions, handling calls (walk-ins, over the phone, and e-mail) for service not requiring the presence of a sworn officer; taking and writing reports; receiving evidence and found property; and assisting investigations by making initial contact with other law enforcement agencies and courts, retail stores, victims, and suspects and offenders.
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma, or G.E.D., and two years of directly-related experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be able to obtain and maintain the ACJIS/NCIC Terminal Operator Certification within one (1) week of hire date.
Selection Process:
Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include panel interviews.
